Designed principally for linguists, the volume contains about 15,000 entries; each Nukuoro word is glossed, classified by type, and analyzed in terms of derivation from its root. Included are a Nukuoro-English listing, an English-Nukuoro finder list, and a root list in which the derivatives are listed under their root headings. The coding system used throughout the lexicon is explained in the introduction, and several appendices summarize the morphology of Nukuoro bases. In addition to its substantive interest, this work is an exercise in method, illustrating recent developments in computerized lexicography."
